QAI Laboratories is pleased to announce the acquisition of Harrington Geotechnical Engineering, Inc. (HGEI) based in Orange, California.

HGEI is a highly regarded, independent, geological engineering and testing business servicing private industry, municipalities, school boards, health authorities, property owners, architects, engineers, developers, and homeowner associations.   For 30 years, HGEI has built strong relationships with clients by providing trusted geotechnical engineering and testing services tailored to ensuring project compliance with requirements of the local building code and project specifications.  Typical projects include residential and commercial developments, hillside developments, industrial facilities, schools, medical facilities, places of worship, parking structures, streets and highways, pump stations, underground storage facilities, and underground utilities.

Since its founding, HGEI has established a strong reputation for providing friendly, reliable, and timely service.  The owner’s of HGEI and QAI saw a consistent culture and attitude towards clients within their respective organizations and felt combining forces was the ideal decision to expand both company’s capabilities.  HGEI will continue to provide the same level of service that their clients have come to expect with the same employees. Don Harrington Jr. will remain involved with the business to ensure the client experience is maintained.  QAI will look to expand HGEI testing and service offerings to their clients.
